When Rabeckha struggled with mental health problems and systems were failing her, one of her biggest problems was being alone. So she turned her journals into books so that others know that they are not alone in their struggles.
Rabeckha is a real person who would love to talk to you. After her mental health experiences, she has been taking classes to help people with mental health issues. So feel free to reach out to her.
This is the first of three journals turned into books by Rabeckha. This story takes place over about six weeks of her life while planning her suicide.
The second book in the "How" series takes place over about 15 months when Rabeckha and her kids lived out of their car. As she tried to crawl out of poverty and mental illness into stability, she had to find a way to get rid of the things and people holding her back.
The third book in the series is about moving forward when nothing has been resolved, and it may never be. Once you work hard to climb out of a hole you were in, it can be hard to accept that things will still not go as planned, and the people who put you in those situations may be doing great while you still struggle.
