At DIYE, we are always actively working on projects. However, sometimes it's hard to make time or get opinions when it's just the two of us. So this group is so that creators can meet up, share ideas, get help, and listen to each other's struggles.
Why do AA, Weight Watchers, IOPs, and other meet-ups work so well? It's not a magic formula or anything special in these groups: it's finding a group of people striving to reach a goal that shares their experiences. But sometimes AA or an IOP isn't what you need... you need a group to check in with that will help you write in a journal and walk every day or quit smoking. Where do you go when you have multiple things you need to keep track of or something for which there is no group? You come here. Join us, and let's work together on life goals.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a great therapy that helps with emotion control. It started as a tool for people with Borderline personality disorder but has expanded to help those suffering from substance abuse, PTSD, depression, and many other mental health-related disorders. It is a skill-based therapy so showing up, talking, and doing the work is a big part of DBT.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is therapy based around cognition and how are brains perceive the world. In this group we will work together to challenge and change cognitive distortions. CBT is a skill-based therapy that focuses on building coping mechanisms and emotion regulation.
At this time, we have the following meetings available:
DBT from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Sundays
Accountability from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Sundays
CBT from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Tuesdays
Creators Create from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on Wednesdays
